Driving through Ave of The Giants was absolutely serene and breathtaking. I went to the redwoods a couple of years ago, but never got a chance to camp there. This time around, I had to sleep amongst the giants. I found the most perfect spot to settle in for the night, campground #18 at Albee Creek Campground, it adjoins Rockefeller Forest (largest remaining contiguous old-growth redwood forest in the world). It's unbelievable to think that trees this old and majestic are still living and to be able to hike around and be amongst them is something I will always remember. Humboldt Redwoods State Park will never get old and it will be a place that I visit for the rest of my life. One day, I would love to have my wedding in the forest. Until then, I'll be dreaming about Ave of the Giants.
